Singer. Songwriter. A choir in a box. Originally from Tottenham, Leon Jacques
moved all around North London with his Mother, Father and siblings. Soaking up cultural and social nuances to a soundtrack of UKG, soul/r&b and reggae. Intent on keeping him away from the stereotypes of youth in London, Leon’s family encouraged his obsession with music
allowing him to travel across the city to perform street dance professionally.

Studying Politics, international relations and Philosophy at university, Leon soon discovered his artistry and promptly withdrew from the course to nurture his mental health, accepting an invite to
become an original member of House Gospel Choir and a signature part of their iconic sound. Together they have shut down festivals across the country like Glastonbury, Latitude and Southport, while racking up credits alongside Robbie Williams, Culture Club or Kylie Minogue. In his own right, Leon has lent his voice on records
with Juice WRLD, Kojey Radical, Che Lingo and Naughty Boy.

Set to tour nationally before lockdown was introduced, he released his latest project last year at the top of the pandemic, with early support from DJ Ace who premiered the single Wake Up on his Everything R&B show on BBC 1Xtra. Leon Jacques’ second
offering, a remix of Wake Up by OIi Hannaford, was also warmly welcomed, with Capital Xtra’s Leah Davis premiering the track and championing it as the beginning of a very exciting chapter for the emerging star.

Once again showcasing the versatility of his songwriting ability, he quickly became a hot commodity, uniting with music creators like
Nicola Roberts, Nitin Sawhney, Naughty Boy and of course, House Gospel Choir. Now more determined than ever to stand on his own two feet, Leon Jacques will soundtrack the complete year of 2022 with his honeyed vocal tones, aiming to release his most versatile offering so far!
